Network engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining reliable network infrastructure that supports secure and stable connectivity across the organization.

The ideal candidate will play a hands-on role in troubleshooting network issues, improving network performance, and helping ensure that the organization's networking environment remains dependable, efficient, and secure. What You'll Do

• Design and configure network infrastructure to support organizational connectivity needs.
• Monitor network performance and availability to help maintain reliable operations.
• Troubleshoot network issues and identify root causes of connectivity problems.
• Maintain routers, switches, and firewalls as part of the organization's core network environment.
• Support secure and stable network connectivity across the organization.
• Work with team members to address technical issues and improve day-to-day network operations.
• Contribute to efforts to strengthen network performance and overall reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the ongoing maintenance of reliable network infrastructure within the organization.
• Ensure network systems are configured to support secure, stable, and efficient connectivity.
• Take responsibility for diagnosing and resolving network-related incidents in a timely manner.
• Help improve network performance through monitoring, analysis, and practical optimization efforts.
• Support the security of the network environment through sound infrastructure and device management practices.
• Collaborate with the IT team to maintain operational continuity and address infrastructure needs.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Networking, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, and network security.
• Knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with network monitoring and performance analysis tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise or multi-site network environments.
• Understanding of network documentation and infrastructure best practices.
